Hmmm....Curiously, second marrages=the new rules...the number 4 spot this week, has now deleted all of the comments from his/her/it's journal...along with the line - "why is everyone here so cranky" from the body of the latest entry. I wonder why.
~Yes, indeedy, it just keeps getting curiouser and curiouser...

Yesterday, before really taking the time to read and investigate the new top 5 picks, I was a little upset with all the bashing of the newest group. I thought that maybe there was a touch of sour grapes going on and I thought maybe we were going to become a community where we only celebrated journals that we personally deem worthy of being picked for that almighty list. But NOW, after reading through that little group I can see that something VERY weird is going on. After taking the time to actually read them, I've found it more than just a little upsetting that the #1 journal has only 1 entry (dated March something), and that the journal is, in fact, advertising her book. I do not know all the AOL rules about soliciting and advertising things, so I thought I would go on a little mission to see what's up. I emailed the AOL journal hometown and played dumb and simply asked if it was against the rules for me to advertise something I wanted to sell. I still have not heard back from them. My purpose in asking this question is to find out if they are breaking their own damn rules in featuring this woman and all those other characters on the list. I'll keep you posted...
well, report back here at o-eight-hundred hours with a full and detailed report, agent 99...

Well, the same journaler has blocked comments and also deleted that comment on her latest entry, in keeping wih the Polyanna-ish requirements of AOL.
I really feel bad for Jean Chatzky. She would now be the recipient of all the backlash from the journal community. I doubt that any of this blatant marketing would help her sell her book.
