I. Pets and cicadas:
a. MY BEAUTIFUL FEMALE LAB STOPPED EATING DOG FOOD FOR 3 MONTHS!!!
MY VET SAID CICADAS WERE NUTRITIONAL! YUCK!!! NOT ONLY DID MY LAB CHASE AFTER THEM, DUG IN THE DIRT FOR THEM, CAUGHT THEM WHILE THEY WERE "AIR-BORN", AND CHEW THEM UP.....BUT SHE WOULD ENJOY THEM ALL OVER AGAIN FROM THE REFLUX!!!!!! YUCK!!!!
MY DOBERMANS, ON THE OTHER HAND....RAN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION...DIDN'T WANT TO BE BOTHER WITH THE "YUCK"!!! NOW AREN'T DOBIES THE SMARTEST!!!! -terry j ballet
b. About 17 years ago, there were so many that my children used to collect them and my golden retriever loved to eat them. One nite he ate 34. -carolie2
c. I had a pet cicada when I was a kid. I would let her go at night and then in the morning she would be back on the screen door. I would let her in and she would sit on my arm while I petted her and she liked also to perch on top of some of our wall decor. -txspongebob

they're throwback neanderthal giant screaming bugs. We're bracing for Brood X to swarm this spring.....sigh, how lovely is that?
