oh lord. that's sad. Especially when I was under the impression that Armandt was the most open-minded conservative in J-land. I thought he had a respect for all opinions. OOPS. I told him I wouldn't promote Hitler in his Journal, but how about Mel Brooks?

I called Armand for what he is a while back. He is a hypocrite. When I tried to subtly (so I would not be insulting) show how his “selection” of entries illuminated a racist and sexist bent, I was attacked by three of his then followers. One has since graciously apologized and has become a very good cyber friend; the other two are apparently still lost in his rhetoric. I want to act like a humanist and say he will surface to reality one day, but I am not sure of that. So many people, particularly middle-aged white men are so afraid of competing equally, that they have wrapped themselves so much around G.W. that they cannot reason or use logic. Instead of trying to, they just shut out, block, and discredit the messenger, and often they will conclude with some typical “commie” or “homo” remark. It has become so predictable, that it is no longer valuable, nor entertaining to read. It is just sad! And they feel comfortable slandering other’s in the name of “joking.”

You know how I love to play Devil's advocate. I don't ageree with Armand at all on many political subjects. However, I proudly champion his right to say what he wants, to express his beliefs and live this conservative theology he espouses. In his J, he can do as he wishes. I think he jumped the gun on this situation, because you had strong, valid points that were contrary to his own. It seems to me that this election is becoming the catalyst for more civil unrest than any of us can stomach.. even within the hallowed halls of J-land.

Wow, I'm shocked at armandt. I thought he was all about free speech. Months ago I got pissed at him for something he said on my journal, blocked him and deleted all his comments in a fit of pique, then unblocked him when I calmed down, but not before he trashed me in his journal and said I was not going to be a candidate for his "Hell Bent" award (:::boohoo:::) Good thing he never gave himself one! (A bright spot? He's left me alone since then.)
Armand is an ass. He is a suckup and when you fail to buy his BS and play to his ego, he wipes the slate clean as if you never existed!!
