As I suggested to Mara over at Amused, who voiced her disillusionment and now boycotting today's television programs - if you're looking for something a little different on TV, by all means, tune into the new PBS series Colonial House.
It really is informative and entertaining. It began May 17 and 18, and continues the 24th and 25th 8-10 pm on your PBS station. Colonial House | PBS
Man, I wish I could sign up for one of these...wouldn't you?

I agree. Most are useless, but even I'm hooked on this one. I stayed up until midnight last night to watch it (AZ time). I think it would be neat to have a reality show with all our little journal community gathered together. Moe and I would have to eat everyone else. I'll bring the kool-aid.
Yep~~i saw some of it. One of the better Reality
shows [and i don't watch Reality shows].
This one^ reminds me too much of just how i
live Now! Except 4 the Interwebby access...
No airconditioning! I'm definitely not up for the task!
Wish I could sign up for one of that show???? Ain't no way..... I'm in awe of our forefathers and mothers who went thru those ordeals of everyday life..... But I'd just as soon read the history books, thank you very much! First off I'd probably be spending most of my time tied to a post with one of those great big "P" signs pinned to me anyway. My idea of "roughing it" consists of spending a night in a motel with dirty carpet.... Give me my air conditioning, dishwasher, microwave oven and wine.....
I'm gonna check it out. I vaguely remember seeing another PBS program similar to this last year. Or was it the History Channel. All them exciting networks get blurred in my mind.
Ehrm, no thanks I'd rather watch them do the rough living. Not too excited about gathering wood for fire or churning my own butter, thankyouverymuch.
I saw this just recently (last week)! Perfect reality TV fare for PBS. The one I saw...Native Americans set up camp nearby and one of their scouts stole a chicken (much to the chagrin of their tribe spiritual leader). And the female colonist who tried to bring the "Indians" peas pottage...I could only giggle uncontrollably. OK! Back to reading...I just found your e-scribbles through BabyMae and Mumsy. -Becky http://journals.aol.com/ryanagi/Wherelifetakesyou
