#255...The last day - views of Montserrat...

And on the last day, the day at sea - the Captain eased the vessel toward San Juan.  Along the course he maneuvered the ship close to the island of Montserrat to allow the passengers a good view of the recent volcanic destruction the island had endured.  There they saw where whole villages were consumed by lava and new land was formed once again in the age old way....

well, sir greggeth the pure, if yer into that kind of thing....exploding volcano's, devastation, destruction....i mean....oh wait, your a man - nevermind...

Oh boy, reminds me of Mt. Pinatubo in my native Philippines. I wasn't there when lahar flooded streets, but I heard it was quite a disaster. Such destruction in the midst of breattaking beauty, Flora. Quite a contrast!

ah..nature at work, probably why we shouldn't build near areas capable of mass destruction...but really, what fun would that be...
