okay, so i get an email the other night - from none other than my 80 something dear ol' dad. he wanted me to take note of his new email address, and the fact that he finally decided to jump into the AOL pool. how cool is that?
almost as cool as being the first guy to wear a nehru jacket to church - and help take up the collection in it....i was proud of him then, and even more proud of him now.
say what you will about these new fangled contraptions - it's a great way to keep in touch with your family regardless of the time, the miles, or having to turn the hearing aids up! 
i think he deserves the official floralilian adventurer award, don't you?
