#406...."Tip toe, through tulips, through the land mines, of AOL -"

Fairly new journaler, thelovetrain, commented recently on the insightfulness of AOL vastly maturing stab at hosting a free society...he writes:

"AOL's vastly maturing and responding to the voice of a free society hence, I have immense commendation for them."

Sigh, it made me remember how I used to feel that way too, when I first hopped on board a long time ago.

Word of caution, dear readers - Brian feels that it his personal mission, to help secure freedom of expression and indivuality within the journaling community - however caustic he might need to get. While personally, I feel he could rein himself in a bit and still convey his point - some cowboys will always be cowboys regardless of where they buy their sunglasses.

Well, Brian, glad to hear that you are keeping a watchful eye - but I am curious as to your impression that aol supports a free society...unless it is their free society that you refer to.  Two vastly different animals there, I'm afraid...

But it is cleverly disguised, nonetheless - stick around a while, and watch your blindspots.  (it's a favor sucker punch place of theirs)

However, if you enjoy strolling though fields filled with land mines, then by all means, this is the place to be.

Of course, in all fairness, I too give them a nod, for at least peeking into the pandora box...maybe some day they will see the light.

My, my Floralilia... And you're PRETTY too!

That was great, to be sure and I got a big kick out of it. You've been here longer than me and you're obviously an intelligent lady. I'll certainly keep that in mind. Thanks for the tips.

Though, I've already been stepped directly up to by one 'award winning' (cough) dominant female journalist and was told how things were going to be. Ever since then, I've been very much intent on proving, it isn't going to be 'that way'.

Nevertheless, I've think that I've accomplished 'that' already and I'm growing tired of wasting precious time on it... About time to get into some photography and art, I too think.

I still can't deny it though Floralilia, I do have a major love of shoving 'caustic cowboy shit' down SOME peoples throats... Oh yeah!

Your now devoted friend, Brian

Um.. is that you in that UTTERLY hot picture on the right hand side of my screen? I haven't seen a woman or even thought about one in 6 years.... Wow.. I may have to hide your photo like a porn mag under the bed, because there is some Ann-Margaret sultriness here.... hmmm.. Anyway, love, I am sending this note out to all my J-land friends, and it's fitting you should get it too:
Hi there. Remember me? I am the odd gay Musical Theatre Divo that used to visit your journal with some regularity. I have been having a lot of challenges as of late with the passing of a friend, the fading of a grandparent, the potential upswing of a lovelife which I had all thought but dead. Much like a butterfly emerging from that proverbial cocoon, I am slowly coming out again, back to life, back to reality.. as the song goes. Please know that you have indeed been in my thoughts. Now that those thoughts have been collected, I am going to start writing again.. The time has come.
Michael
